Description
When you use characters like ö and ä in a desktop name, the name will become longer everytime you login, and increase CostPerform startup times
Workaround
Don't use special characters like ö and ä

Using attribute symbols that are integer (possibly preceded and/or followed by an underscore) can... #1699
Description
Attribute symbols that are integer (possibly preceded and/or followed by an underscore, examples are "42", "_42", "42_", "_42_") should not be used. As of version 8.1, CostPerform will not allow such attribute symbols anymore.
Workaround
Change invalid symbols to valid ones

CostPerform cannot connect to the default database anymore #1667
Description
Suddenly CostPerform cannot connect to the database (error -1006). This is caused by the use of IPv6 addresses by the operating system (possibly due to an (automatic) update)
Workaround
Download http://eu.costperform.com/downloads/public/mysql-ds.xml to [CP Install Dir]\server\appserver\jboss\server\qprcc5\deploy, OR Edit C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts, place the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" above the line "::1 localhost".

Cannot assign privileges for entire costmodel with multiple periods #1619
Description
When trying to assign privileges for an entire costmodel that has more than one period, the assigned privilege does not show in the right-hand side of the view. The user that has been assigned the privilege can open the costmodel, but the data is masked.
Workaround
Assign privileges to the individual layers of the costmodel in stead of to the costmodel itself.

Create empty period will crash with large models and client/server #1465
Description
Creating an empty period in a large model and client/server configuration will end with an out of memory error.
Workaround
Copy the period instead of creating an empty one, then delete all objects manually. Select a layer, press [control-a] in the objectgrid, and press [delete]. Don't forget to empty the recycle bin after each layer.

NL number format & fixed format import issue #1461
Description
NL number format not handled correctly for import attribute values using fixed format
Workaround
Set input file to EN format (punt as decimal) or use custom fomat import to import values

Server won't start as a service on new machines #1451
Description
On new machines, the file msvcr71.dll is not present. This causes the service to fail. New installations will install the dll correctly. Upgrading will not solve the problem.
Workaround
Manually copy msvcr71.dll from [CostPerform directory]\jsdk\jre\bin to C:\Windows\System32

Server won't start when started manually on a Server Installation #1450
Description
If CostPerform has been installed using the Server installation type, the Server won't start when pressing the Start Server button on the Control Center.
Workaround
Edit the usersettings.properties file with a text-editor, and change the application.installtype from Server to Standalone

Local file links won't open in FireFox #1444
Description
FireFox versions 1.5 and higher disallows links starting with <code>file://</code>. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_Issues_:_Links_to_Local_Pages_Don%27t_Work for more info.

Importing duplicate lines using fixed format caused unpredictable results #1443
Description
When importing duplicate lines (objectsymbol-attributesymbol combination) the results were undetermined: the application could overwrite them or crash, depending on when the duplicate lines were actually inserted into the database.
Workaround
Avoid duplicate lines

Copy paste format in whiteboard causes objects not to be saved #1440
Description
When you copy paste the format of an object, then save and reopen the whiteboard, objects have disappeared.
Workaround
Use copy paste in stead of copy paste format.

Exporting a costmodel/metamodel with formula attributes fails #1411
Description
In some cases, exporting a costmodel or metamodel with formula attributes will cause the export to fail (either with an error message, or simply by taking forever).
